Unfortunately I could not go to the stadium to see the match because it was almost sold out and the tickets were almost the equivalent of 100 euros....a bit too much !!!! I will have all the time to book the ticket when I go back to Buenos Aires at the end of my trip, just have to wait a bit more. I watched the match in the local bar in a sport centre and talked to lots of people, the atmosphere was certainly friendlier than the one in a football stadium !!!!
Mar del Plata is a massive seaside city, it has something like a 17 km long coastline dotted with private and public beaches and tall buildings.....it looks a bit like Rio, just to give you an idea....

Today the weather was fantastic, not too hot but sunny, and I walked all along the seaside to the port and back. I got a bit burnt (obviously....) misjudging the power of the sun because of the wind which was quite cold, but it isn't too bad.
Last night I went to a "pub" where they produced their own brews and talked to a waitress and to this other guy for a long time, I asked them lots of questions about what I should go and see around here....

I have already started to re-assemble my bike in the hotel and will leave tomorrow morning to go to laguna and sierra de los patres, a nice resort in the hills north of mar del plata where I will camp for the night and then decide if I should go to the next town in the hills where there is a museum dedicated to the famous argentinian racing hero Fangio or go towards the coast again.

Looks like over there is slightly warmer than here in London ;)
Notice it doesn't matter where you are, pne never change...still holding pint of beer!!
Anyway, glad you're having fun and meeting lots of friendly people.
Keep us informed about your first camping experience
Great to see that you are not behind bars...still waiting for a futuristic hair-beard style that will help you to "cut the wind" while cycling....:)
I wanted to suggest something. I know you have a lot in your head but this is my idea:
take a picture of your face every morning and take another one every evening (read before and after every trip)
It might sound silly but in the future you will be amazed of what you see (and the memories coming along).
Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the famous "gnoccolaus dela patagonia" and some of the "culetos de argentinas".
Keep moving, just in case.
:)
