villa la angostura y bariloche

After camping one night on a beach on the river in Confluencia I cycled to Villa Traful, where I stopped at the beatiful Mirador to admire the fantastic view of Lago Traful on a very windy day, before arriving at the hostel where I stayed for two nights, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, chatting to "el cocinero loco" Mario and watching tv.

As soon as the weather got a bit better and I regained my energy, I cycled to Villa la Angostura where I camped for a couple of nights, meeting Maria and Igor, two backpackers from Pamplona.
Together we visited the Parque Nacional los Arrayanes, where we enjoyed riding our bikes through the forest to then arrive at the final part of the park, where we walked through the "Bosque" to admire these beatiful native trees and their colourful bark.
We then went back to the camping, after a few beers in the town's centre and had a lovely dinner together, enjoying the beatiful evening sitting near the fire and talking about our trips, our past and future lives and many things in general.
CHICOS, NOS VEMOS EN PAMPLONA UN DIA (QUIERO VER EL CARRO....) - SUERTE POR LA HERMOSA AVENTURA QUE ES ESTE VIAJE !!!!!

I then cycled to Bariloche on a beatiful day, on a paved road flanking the Lago Nahuel Huapi and arrived at my destination in the early afternoon.
There, I visited the Catedral "Nuestra SeƱora del Nahuel Huapi" and waited for Santiago to come and meet me and show me the way to their flat, where I would have stayed for a couple of days.
Santiago is the son of Manuel and Patricia, the couple who let me stay in their house for a few days when I was in Zapala, and he is studying in Bariloche, where he shares a flat with his friends Dio and Fer.
I stayed with them a couple of days, living the student life in a very international city like Bariloche. I visited the town centre and together with the boys we went to the beach, visited a couple of micro brewerys, enjoyed an all italian dinner (cooked by me....obviously) and went out to a couple of bars before losing a few pesos in the casino (only about five dollars worth).
I really enjoyed staying with these guys and before leaving I even learnt how to play "truco", the national card game (GRACIAS DIO, PERO TODAVIA NO PUDE PRACTICAR.....).
I left the lovely flat in the centre around lunchtime on a very sunny day to cycle about 20km on the paved road on the Lago Nahuel Huapi shore to arrive in the Colonia Suiza, a small village located between two lakes which was home to a few Swiss immigrants who settled there in the end of the nineteenth century.
I camped on a beatiful sight on Lago Moreno's beach and after visiting the village and its few houses built in typical Swiss style, I cycled around the "circuito chico" to see the famous Llao Llao Hotel (see oicture in Italian post), catch a glimpse of the Cerro Tronador and visit the beatiful beach of Villa Tacul.
After visiting the local trouts farm, I cooked myself a lovely dinner and enjoyed the sunset on the beach, waking up the next day fresh and ready to continue my ride south towards my next destination, the village of El Bolson.

Yo Alex, great to see you still living the dream. The landscape and countryside seems to be getting greener and greener - is it also getting `cooler'? We officially started the football season last weekend - and hope to continue this weekend even though the weather forecast is for 8.C, rain, hail, wind and maybe some snow... va van coolo!!! We actually managed to play five-a-side which was very impressive, Inba came, Ben for the first time in a while.... it was good. Take care my friend, see you soon. Ciao ciao.
